Artist Statement
Puppet is an interactive installation inspired by avatars in virtual games. Influenced by cybernetic theory, the work explores how systems of control and feedback create an interactive experience. A wooden puppet is placed inside a mirrored acrylic box, with strings attached to its arms and connected to servo motors. When viewers approach, an ultrasonic sensor detects their presence and triggers the motors, causing the puppet to respond. The installation establishes a subtle interaction between the audience and the object.
